This Little Light of Mine- Choose to Shine

This little light of mine
I'm gonna let it shine

Growing up as a little girl I sang this song nearly every Sunday and knew all the verses and accompanying hand motions.

This little light of mine
I'm gonna let it shine

I always seemed to take it as a little diddy and never thought much more of it. 

This little light of mine
I'm gonna let it shine

Jesus is the light of the world. Jesus is the light of our lives.  Without Him we are lost in the darkness with no sense of direction. He is the source of our salvation.

This little light of mine
I'm gonna let it shine

This light we share, we do not hide it under bushels or let Satan blow it out. This light that Jesus shines for the World is to be shared. We are undeserving of this love and yet He lights our paths and shows us the way and leads us to salvation. We can act as a kind of mirror and reflect this light onto those we encounter and our coming campers. We can help to spread this love and be a reflection of God's love in our daily lives. We can choose to shine.
