Overwhelming love

I really enjoyed the devotional for chapter 2 and how it describes that Jesus baptizes us with the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is continually being poured over us so that we are drenched with the life of God.  That is awesome to recognize.  Something that I continually struggle with is that I surround myself with things that benefit my own life instead of glorifying God.  I try to satisfy my wants because I think they are things I need.  The struggle lies in accepting that God is always there blessing me with everything I need.  I need to be satisfied with the great love he already shows me instead of searching for satisfaction and approval from others.  Through Jesus I am able to be continuously drenched with God's love.  I  accept this generous gift by recognizing the Lord and how he provides for me in every moment of my life.  I am already so blessed but the very life of God will continue to overwhelm me with blessings.
