Unless I am trying to sleep, I would rather not be in the dark. On nice days in SB, I come back to my apartment and the lights are off and the blinds are closed and I desire for the sunlight come in through the windows and brighten up the room. I crave the light.
In the same way, we should crave the light of Jesus. The devo says,"Yet we do not flee for long. For one thing, He is inescapable. But for another, we crave what we see in Him." We crave the light that he shines into our lives. We would rather walk with a light guiding us than in the dark, so we should let Jesus be that light in our lives. That light that brightens up our hearts and guides our paths.
Hopefully, others will be able to see the light of Jesus through us. "They will see an inner radiance..." that is nothing more than Jesus, the Light of the World, working in our own hearts and guiding our paths. We can show campers, friends, and family Jesus by letting his light shine through our own lives.
My hope is that all of us will crave the light of Jesus so that our lives can reflect Jesus to everybody around us!
