God's eternal love

Before I go into my blog for the week I just wanted to show you guys a picture that my 9 year old cousin Jayden posted a few weeks back.

I don't know if you can read the caption but it says God's promise! I was not expecting that to come out of my little cousin. Sometimes I forget that God's love flows through everyone, no matter at what age and I just found it really encouraging to see that.

ANYWAY,

What stood out to me most in this week's blog was definitely how being baptized is described as being DUNKED into God's love. When I think of being dunked into something, it almost sounds intimidating at first. I think of it like being pushed into a pool, at first you are kind of nervous about it and not quite sure how to feel about it, but once you are in, it is the most refreshing swim you have ever had. I definitely feel that way about God sometimes. I feel like His love is too good for me and I almost feel intimidated by it, but it is so encouraging to know that He is willing to constantly shower me and drench me in His love. He is completely giving himself to me, all of us, our campers, my cousin, and everyone! No wonder it is the "ultimate self-giving-sacrificial-servant-love"! He is constantly pouring his love into EVERYONE ALL OF THE TIME! That is so encouraging to think about!
