The Word of My Testimony

Reading through chapter two I kept hearing the I am statement " I am an overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony". I am not entirely sure why, but it was probably because of the way John continued to use His life and testimony about Jesus to continually point to Him rather than to himself. I think it was Ms. Chelsea Goza who really challenged me on the blog about the need to keep pointing campers to Jesus rather than to ourselves.

I LOVE that John when asked questions about himself just keeps giving answers that cause people to ask who Jesus is rather than who John is.... what if thats what we did this summer? What if while we answered the questions of "how old are you? where are we going? why would a college student give up a summer to serve? where do you go to school?... the list goes on and on.... but what if we took those questions and rather than giving our life story we showed campers how God fits into that?

I know that doesn't answer those two questions. but I was totally overwhelmed by John on that first page.
