As I read the last few posts about the weekend, I am reminded of how saturated I was with the presence of Christ in and through all of you! SUCH a blessing that the Lord desires us to enter into His work. I am reminded of just how beautiful worshiping on top of the houseboat was and the amazing and encouraging conversations that the Lord led me into! Praise Him! I am having a hard time finding peace at my house and in my workplace because I don't feel spiritually encouraged. Being around so many non Christians is hard to come back to after such an amazing weekend filled with a Christ following community. However, I have started going to a community group at my church on Wednesday nights...and I receive great fellowship and encouragement there. Tonight, as I was sharing what was going on in my life, my pastor shared a verse that really encouraged me in my state of exhaustion and oppression. "God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.[c]
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.[c]
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts."
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts."
I really like verse 2. It just reminds me how small I am and how huge God is. He can wash away my worries just like mountains can fall into the sea. What an amazing, powerful, and comforting thought!
Praying for God to keep preparing our hearts for this summer.
